Hi Folks,
We would like to extend an invitation for you to vend at this year’s Strawberry Festival on June 27th, 2015 from noon to 4PM. It is going to be a big day for our farm–we are hosting the festival and celebrating the grand opening of our farm stand as well. In preparation for all this celebrating, we are planning to have more music, a bigger or additional tent for more shade, a few more vendors (not too many), and more activities for children. We intend to promote the event more widely than we have before and to plan for additional parking. We estimate that 300 adults and children came through the Festival last year, and we expect moderate growth for 2015.
We are considering charging a small vending fee–for folks who are selling goods–in the neighborhood of $20. This will help us defray the cost of the bigger or extra tent to give customers more shady space (or dry space in case of poor weather).
Please let us know if you’re interested in attending and if a $20 vending fee would be reasonable given the exposure and anticipated income for your business.
Lastly, if you have any products you are interested in selling through our farm stand, please let me know. For 2015, we can accommodate shelf-stable products, some produce and crafts.
