Change in Staffing of RAFFL’s New Farmer Initiative

Dear Farmers,

I hope you all had a happy new year and some time to relax over the holidays.

The start 2014 is bringing with it some big changes for me. Today is my last day at RAFFL. I am moving to Blacksburg, Virginia this weekend to begin graduate school at Virginia Tech.

I had not anticipated leaving RAFFL so soon but was offered a graduate research assistantship in the Department of Agricultural and Extension Education with the contingency that I begin in January. This was an opportunity I could not easily pass up.

I have learned a great deal since coming to Vermont in the summer of 2010, and I attribute my time here working with you all to my success in securing an assistantship for graduate school. Thank you for all you have taught me!

RAFFL will be filling the position soon. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please contact Tara (tara@rutlandfarmandfood.org).

I hope to return to Vermont someday soon, but until then, keep up the good work and keep in touch!
