Time is running out to apply for the Whole Farm Planning for Beginning Women Farmers class!
Offered once a year, this course introduces new farmers to holistic management planning strategies aimed at strengthening farm businesses and improving quality of life.
The 10-session class is limited to 17 participants who have owned or managed a farm for under 10 years.Calley Hastings, certified holistic management educator and co-owner of Fat Toad Farm in Brookfield, VT, will teach the class, with facilitation by the UVM Extension New Farmer Project and Women’s Ag Network.
Over 60 Vermont women farmers have participated in the class so far, and we are actively seeking participants for the 2014 class. We currently plan to offer the class in Morrisville, VT beginning January 7, but the class site may change based on the location of qualified applicants.
