Over the last couple months RAFFL has been working with Karp Resources to better understand the needs of the Rutland region and how RAFFL can best fill the gaps in our farm and food system. Over 175 farmers, food-related businesses, and institutions took part in our extensive surveying. With their help, RAFFL has a much better idea of both the demand for and supply of local food in the greater Rutland region.
Want to hear what we found out?
On May 31st RAFFL is holding a dinner and discussion to talk about our survey findings and what they will mean for RAFFL’s future work. The event will be in the tradition of our annual Farmers’ Gathering. We’ll start with a light dinner, followed by the primary purpose for the event—a vibrant discussion about the survey results. Karen Karp and Emily Sandusky from Karp Resources will be at the event to explain their findings, answer questions, and gather feedback from the community. This is a great chance to let your voice be heard and help guide RAFFL’s work!
The event will be Thursday, May 31st at the Chaffee Art Center in Rutland. A light dinner starts at 6pm and the discussion will follow. Thanks to Pink Boot Farm for providing our dinner!
