RAFFL’s next New Farmer Mixer will be held on March 7 at Roots Restaurant. The mixer is a part of RAFFL’s New Farmer Initiative, a program that offers skill-building workshops for farmers and helps strengthen the agriculture community. The mixer is an opportunity for area famers to meet their peers, learn from each other, and explore new networks.
***Chef Donald Billings is helping us keep the cost of this event down by accepting food donations from you all. If you have anything from your farm to donate, he will cook it up into tasty, free appetizers for the event. Please contact India at email@example.com directly if you are able to help out***
RAFFL began hosting New Farmer Mixers in 2010 as a way to counteract this isolation and build a support network for farmers throughout the county. Mixers are held quarterly at various locations.
Roots Restaurant in downtown Rutland is providing space and food for the March 7th New Farmer Mixer. Light appetizers from locally grown food will be available, as well as a cash bar. For more information, contact RAFFL at firstname.lastname@example.org or (802) 417 – 1528.
