Farm to Plate summary release date: Jan 12

Many of you participated in the drafting of the Farm to Plate Plan – either as members of a particular focus group or by attending the Farm to Plate Summit held last year at the Rutland Intermediate School.

The Executive Summary of the Farm to Plate Strategic Plan will be released next Wednesday, January 12 at the Statehouse.  The events for the day are as follows:
11-11:45am                 Press Conference in Cedar Creek Room

12:15–1:30pm             Joint Legislative Briefing in Room 11

3-5pm                          Local Food Celebration in Statehouse Cafeteria

Farm to Plate organizers would like your help in spreading the word to your networks as we’d like to have a good turn-out, especially at the 3pm local food celebration in the Statehouse Cafeteria.  Folks are welcome to come for the full slate of events, but if time is limited, then coming to the 3-5pm celebration would be our suggestion.

Folks involved could also use your help in making the local foods celebration a success – as we really want to showcase as much amazing local food as possible that afternoon!

Help spread the word to farmers, food producers, value-added product makers, bakers, caterers, cider makers, restauranteurs, or localvore chefs that you know.  Please have people that are interested in providing a tasting/sampling of their products contact Heather via email at
