Farmer-To-Farmer Meeting in Southern Vermont – 5/21

May 21st –  The Corse Farm, Whitingham

All dairy farmers and non-dairy livestock farmers are invited to attend the 2nd Farmer-To-Farmer Discussion Group meeting in the southern Vermont region at The Corse Farm.   In March farmers from Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts met at Lilac Ridge Farm in Brattleboro to share their ideas and talk about challenges they faced on their farms.  At the upcoming meeting Leon Corse will give a farm tour at 11am.  This will be followed by a lunch discussion and pasture walk.  Come see the new calf raising system.   The discussion will be facilitated by NOFA Vermont’s Dairy and Livestock Program advisors.  Lunch will be provided by Linda Corse.

Directions to farm:  From Route 112 take 100 south in Jacksonville; after Whitingham/Twin Valley School take the 2nd right onto Corse Road.  1 mile to farm.  Meet at greenhouse barn.  From Route 9 take Route100 south, after about 3.5 miles turn right onto Wilmington Cross Road (blacktop), then right onto Fuller Hill Road (blacktop, turns to gravel at top of hill), then left onto Corse Road.
